 Last 2009, I joined the Deaf Youth Adventure Camp in Cebu with the different Deaf in different provinces. After the camp, we have different places to travel. We did not pay for our transportation. It was allowed by the the government because of the deaf activities. We traveled  along the Taoist Temple, Cebu Heritage Monument, Magellan's Cross and Fort San Pedro.

Western Visayas Medical Center Chapel (Formerly Don Benito Lopez Memorial Chapel). This is where the Deaf people attend mass every Sunday. 11:00 in the morning is a time to hear mass for the Deaf. hearing people are welcomed to attend their mass. They know how to prepare the altar before the mass start. Deaf boys were trained to be the altar servers, while Deaf girls were trained to be the lectors and church choirs.

Balaan Bukid, Guimaras








 
Balaan Bukid in Guimaras is a popular pilgrimage  site of the Catholic devotees especially during the Holy Week. It has 14 stations along the trail to the top called “Way of the Cross”.  The Catholics visit Balaan Bukid to be reminded the suffering of Jesus Christ through the saving mankind.
Once they each the top, there is a scenic view of Iloilo City and Jordan, Guimaras. On the summit of Balaan Bukid, is a chapel of Ave aria Purisima and  big cross which can be seen the Iloilo City’s coast. The peak of Balaan Bukid is a place to reflect and relax because its cool and tranquil atmosphere.
